BOARD MEETING

July 3, 2010

Meeting was called to order by Gary Standley at 10:00 a.m.  Members present were Gary Standley, Gary Dodson, Dorothy Fullam, Nancy Standley,  Audrey Brown, and Naomi Hunt.  Guests present were Mary Brown, Ron Wermes, and Marilyn Dillard.

The minutes of the April meeting were read and approved with the explanation of dues paid to Neighborhood Watch.

Dorothy Fullam gave the Treasurer’s report:

Treasurer’s report was approved.

Old Business: 

The River Road is completed.  We had approved $600.00, but the cost to us was only $500.00.  

The traffic on Hawkins Bar Road seems to be a problem again this year.  Gary Dodson suggested putting a sign on the bulletin board that unlicensed drivers and vehicles are not allowed on County roads.  Gary Standley gave us the telephone number to Highway Patrol Dispatch (242-3210) and suggested we call if we see a potential problem.  The more we call the better the chance we have to get them to drive through the Village and watch the roads.

The rummage sale was a success again this year. Gary Thanked Charlene Lundblade for organizing the sale.   The Fire Department will hold their sale at a different time then TVIA next year.  

New Business:

The annual contribution of $1500.00 to the Hawkins Bar Volunteer Fire Department was approved.

Board members up for election this year are Nancy Standley, Pat Briggs, and Gary Dodson.  They are all willing to run again.

The next meeting will by October 2, 2010 at 1:00PM at the home of Naomi Hunt. 

With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned.
