Old Business:
Discussed the feral cat problem. Cindy
and Mary will work on getting traps and TVIA will check on cages for the cats until they can be taken to the Vet.
We received a response from Verizon concerning
the telephone outages and they say the problem has been addressed and corrected.
New Business:
A sympathy card was signed for Marilyn Dillard
for the passing of her husband Charles. They have always been a big part of TVIA and he will be missed.
Cindy asked about the meeting at Butch Mathews
the night before. Butch Mathews responded. They call the group Trinity River Rod and Rafting. They donated
$1000.00 to the HBVFD for a security system and are hoping to do improvements at the river. They include:
Phone
to call 911 for emergencies
Picnic
tables (donated by Hilfiker Pipe Co.)
Bathroom
Safety
ropes and throw
Vince Freemantle asked about keeping the gate
locked. The important thing is that everyone lock it when they go in and out. They discussed getting a different
kind of lock and will look into the costs.
Nancy Standley explained how the alert call work.
There is a pause at the beginning and then it says please wait, and then Nancy’s voice comes on with the alert.
Some people hang up when the delay happens, and don’t get the alert. We now have 120 numbers on the alert list.
She asked anyone interested not on the list to give her their number and she will add them.
Butch also discussed the plans has for the store
site on Hwy 299. The hope is for a mini mall with mini storage, store and room for other businesses.
The next meeting will be April 2, 2011 at 1:00
PM at the home of Gary and Nancy Standley.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting
was adjourned.
Respectfully Submitted,
Audrey Brown
Secretary
